About: My first attempt at creating a photo realistic scene in Blender. I'm pretty impressed with how it turned out. The lighting was achieved using a third party plug in called filmic, which allows the lighting to be cranked up to fill in the darker areas, without overexposing the rest of the scene. The windows and countertop are built in assets to Blender, but everything else was modeled and textured from scratch.

About: My first little project using Blender. It included modeling the glass, the ice cubes, and the puddles, then using a fluid simulation to create the whisky. The lighting is from the background being used as an emission shader. I must say, it's amazingly easy to use, and the results from the cycles render are astonishing.

A neat little sculpture I created using Cinema 4D. I started with only a cube and a plane, and with some extrusion and shaders ended up with the basic structure of the water and the ground. I then created a glass texture for the water and a concrete texture with a bump map for the concrete. I added in some lighting, and using caustics with a very high render setting, I was able to get the stripe light effects you see on the floor and within the water, which is real time refraction and reflection of the light passing through the water texture. The end result is a semi realistic looking glass sculpture.

About: I guess I would describe this video as a music visualizer that integrates 2D and 3D graphics into real life footage. A very labour intensive 1 man project that involved filming, editing, colour correction, 3D modeling and animation, 2D graphics, integration and compositing. Definitely one of the more challenging and rewarding projects I've done.
